Why diversity is important to me:
I love working with people that come from different backgrounds, employ different perspectives, and push me to think differently.
Moreover, as someone that is from an underrepresented background in the field of management, I have to stress just how important it was for me to find people in this field in whom I could recognize some part of myself. Having role models and mentors from underrepresented backgrounds means everything in terms of generating awareness and comfort with the next generation of management scholars.
